Where to eat

Here is a list of Mediterranean, international and vegetarian restaurants that we recommend.

Mediterranean and Catalan Cuisine

  • Restaurant L’Olive - C/Balmes, 47
Is an elegant but casual restaurant with a great price / quality relationship.
  • Restaurant Can Culleretes - Quintana. 5
Is the oldest restaurant in town and was built at the end of the 18th century. It has a great atmosphere with traditional tile wall decorations. The prices are very reasonable and the menu is quite large.
  • Restaurante Senyor Parellada - Argentería, 37
Is a good size restaurant but with a nice, quite atmosphere. They offer half portions which is a great idea if you’re adventurous and love to try more than 2 courses in a meal.

Vegetarian Restaurants

  • Restaurant L’Atzavara - Muntaner, 109
Is a rather small restaurant but it’s worth trying. Their baked pasta dishes, vegetable paella, mixed vegetables creams, beans stew and whole grain cakes make you want to go back.

International Restaurants

  • Restaurant La Targa Florio - C/Villarroel, 190-192
  • Restaurant La Maison du Langedoc Rousillon - Pau Claris, 77
French restaurant specialized in southern French cuisine.
  • Restaurant Yashima - Avda. Josep Tarradellas, 145
One of the best Japanese restaurants of Barcelona. Follow their advice and you will enjoy a wonderful meal.
  • Restaurant Swan - Diputació, 269
A very exclusive Chinese restaurant very different from what you expect to encounter. Their cuisine is very delicate, the presentation of the dishes is a piece of art.
  • Restaurant Abou Khalil - Santaló, 88
After a visit to this restaurant you may wonder how similar the ingredients are to the ones used in the Spanish cuisine but in spite of the similarity of the ingredients the cuisine is very different. It’s a great way to eat according to the Mediterranean diet, don’t forget that Lebanon is a Mediterranean country too, and enjoys completely different flavours.
