Alcohol Policy in IES Barcelona Housing

Students living in apartments:
The use of alcohol should be kept to “culturally appropriate amounts” in the host country. Disrespectful behaviour related with alcohol consumption, for example when students create problems with roommates or neighbours, will have serious consequences. Small quantities of beer and wine can be kept in the apartments for personal consumption. IES Barcelona prohibits the storage of hard liquors in the apartments.

Students living in residence halls:
Alcohol consumption and storage is prohibited in all residence halls bedrooms. Moderate alcohol amounts are served in the cafeterias or bars of some residence halls.

Students living in homestays:
Some families may serve a glass of wine with dinner and other families may not. Always respect what is customary with each family. The storage or consumption of alcohol in private bedrooms is prohibited.
