Internet Access

Students at IES Barcelona will have access to e-mail in different ways:

1. At IES center II
Students will find several computers in the IES Barcelona center. These computers not only allow the students to check their e-mails but also to write their papers or surf the net.

2. Student’s own laptop at IES Center II
We strongly encourage the students to bring their laptops because they will have free access to a wireless internet service within the IES Center. In order to work in the IES wireless network you need to use a wireless card of the specification 802.11g (WI-FI); this often comes installed in newer models.

3. Student’s own laptop in appartments and homestays
We strongly encourage the students to bring their laptops because they will have free access to a wireless internet service at all IES homestays and appartments. (No wireless internet access is available at Residence Halls or Independent Housing). In order to work in the IES wireless network you need to use a wireless card of the specification 802.11g (WI-FI); this often comes installed in newer models.

4. Through the local universities campuses
Those students taking classes in an outside institution will have access to their computer rooms for writing papers and checking e-mail.
