Homestay
Homestays are the best option for students really interested in learning Spanish and in integration in Spanish culture and lifestyle. It’s also a good option for students that like to life in a family environment. Some students have to share the room with another IES student and sometimes other Spanish students or international students will live in the homestay too.
The families take good care of the students and the home cooked meals are usually very good. At the end of the semester the students have a wider knowledge of the Spanish culture and lifestyle. Laundry as well as the cleaning of the room is included in the price.
On the other hand there is less independence than in other housing options. At the beginning it can be hard to get used to the eating habits of the family.
In our opinion homestays are a very good option. Most of the students will develop long lasting emotional ties to their host family.
