Cell phone information

IES Barcelona requires that all students purchase a cell phone when they arrive in Barcelona. We know from our own experience that there will be situations in which we will need to contact you by phone.

For international students studying in Spain there are different options:

Movistar, Orange, Vodafone or Yoigo: the independent option

In Spain we recommend the following four mobile phone operators: Movistar, Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo. They operate a UMTS/3G networks, meaning they have good coverage in the largest cities across Spain.

NOTE: Although IES Barcelona gives recommendations about where to find a cell phone, under no circumstances will IES Barcelona be responsible for anything regarding your phone. It is the student’s choice.
